Introduced with the Mini in 1959, the revolutionary rubber cone suspension system became one of the defining engineering features of the vehicle, delivering the responsive handling, compact design, and unique driving characteristics that made the Mini famous worldwide.
Unlike reproduction cones, the Genuine Moulton Rubber Cone continues to be manufactured by Avon VMS in Wiltshire, England using the original tooling and the original rubber compound developed during the Mini's creation. The exclusive rubber formula remains under licence from the Moulton Trust, ensuring the suspension characteristics remain true to Dr. Moulton's original design.
Each Genuine Moulton Rubber Cone carries the inscription "DESIGNED BY ALEX MOULTON MADE BY AVON VMS ENGLAND", confirming its authenticity and distinguishing it from aftermarket alternatives. This makes the FAM3968 the only truly genuine rubber cone available for the Classic Mini.
