Mini Sport Adjusta Ride Full Car Suspension Kit Classic Mini Dry Suspension - SUSKIT5
Set the stance, correct the ride height and build a better foundation for the way your Classic Mini drives with the Mini Sport SUSKIT5 Adjusta Ride Full Car Suspension Kit. Designed for Minis with dry rubber-cone suspension, Adjusta Ride replaces the original fixed-length suspension struts with adjustable units so the front and rear ride height can be set to suit the individual car.
Adjusta Ride is not simply a way of lowering a Mini. Ride height can change as suspension cones age, components are replaced or the specification of the car changes. Being able to adjust each end of the car gives you the control to establish the ride height you actually want rather than being tied to a fixed-length suspension arrangement.
A Mini that sits correctly does not just look better. Ride height forms part of the overall suspension setup, so establishing the correct height provides a sound starting point before checking wheel alignment, camber, tracking and the condition of the remaining suspension components.
The full-car SUSKIT5 package provides the components required to convert both front and rear suspension, including four adjustable ride-height units, four dedicated Adjusta Ride knuckle joints and two rear extension bars.
The adjustable units are manufactured from high-specification pressure die-cast alloy with high-tensile plated steel adjustment components, providing a strong and durable replacement for the original suspension struts.
What Is Included?
- 2 x front Adjusta Ride suspension units
- 2 x rear Adjusta Ride suspension units
- 4 x Adjusta Ride knuckle joints
- 2 x rear extension bars
This is the complete front and rear Adjusta Ride system for one Classic Mini.
Fitment Note:
This kit is part of the Classic Mini dry suspension system and works alongside the rubber suspension cones, upper arms, rear radius arms, dampers and suspension geometry components.
It should be fitted when converting from fixed-length suspension struts to adjustable ride height, with the condition of the rubber cones, knuckle seats and surrounding suspension components checked at the same time.
Compatibility:
Suitable for Classic Minis fitted with dry rubber-cone suspension. It is not a replacement for the Hydrolastic suspension system.
Why Fit Adjusta Ride?
- Adjust front and rear ride height to suit the individual Mini.
- Correct uneven ride height caused by ageing or changed suspension components.
- Set the stance without cutting or permanently modifying suspension struts.
- Useful for standard road cars, restorations, fast-road Minis and competition builds.
- Provides a better starting point for suspension geometry setup.
- Allows ride height to be reset when other suspension components are changed.
- Replaces the original fixed-length front and rear suspension struts.
Set the Ride Height Before the Geometry
Ride height and suspension geometry should be considered together. Changing the height of the car changes the position in which the suspension operates, so the final setup should be checked once the Mini is sitting at its intended height.
After installation, allow the suspension to settle, measure the car on a level surface and make adjustments carefully. Once the final ride height has been established, check the wheel alignment and any adjustable camber or tracking components fitted to the car.

Check the Suspension While It Is Apart
Fitting Adjusta Ride is a good opportunity to inspect the components that determine how the Mini sits and moves. Old rubber cones can compress with age, while worn knuckle seats, bushes or dampers can affect the final suspension setup.
Where the existing rubber cones are tired or their condition is unknown, replacing them at the same time gives the adjustable suspension a more consistent foundation. The front suspension uses a rubber cone, strut and knuckle arrangement, while the rear suspension follows the same principle through the rear strut and radius arm assembly.
Installation and Final Setup
- Inspect the rubber suspension cones before installation.
- Check the suspension knuckle seats and surrounding components for wear.
- Make sure the Adjusta Ride units and knuckle joints are correctly seated.
- Set the car initially to a sensible ride height rather than immediately aiming for the lowest possible setting.
- Set the car on level ground and allow the suspension to settle before final measurements.
- Check tyre and body clearance throughout the steering and suspension travel.
- Recheck front wheel alignment after the final ride height has been established.
- Where adjustable geometry components are fitted, set camber and tracking after the ride height is finalised.
The Rover workshop information also requires suspension and steering free play to be corrected before wheel alignment is checked, reinforcing the importance of treating ride height, component condition and geometry as one complete setup.
Why Choose Mini Sport
Mini Sport has been supplying Classic Mini parts worldwide since 1967. Adjusta Ride is a Mini Sport suspension system developed specifically around the compact rubber-cone suspension layout of the Classic Mini, providing adjustable ride height while retaining the fundamental suspension arrangement that gives the Mini its distinctive character.
