Mini Sport Adjusta Ride Knuckle Joint Classic Mini - Each - MSLMS0502

The Mini Sport MSLMS0502 knuckle joint is the dedicated replacement joint used with Mini Sport Adjusta Ride suspension units. It forms the connection between the adjustable suspension trumpet and the suspension arm or radius arm, allowing movement while supporting the ride-height adjustment system.

This is not the same as a standard Mini replacement knuckle joint. The MSLMS0502 uses a thicker shaft designed specifically for the Adjusta Ride unit, so it should be used when replacing a worn or damaged knuckle joint within a Mini Sport Adjusta Ride installation.

Sold individually, one joint is required at each suspension corner. A complete front and rear Adjusta Ride installation uses four MSLMS0502 knuckle joints.

Fitment Note:
This component is part of the Mini Sport Adjusta Ride suspension assembly and works alongside the adjustable strut, rubber suspension cone and knuckle seat or ball socket.
It should be replaced when servicing a worn or damaged Adjusta Ride knuckle joint to maintain correct location and movement of the suspension strut.

Where the Knuckle Joint Fits

On the Classic Mini dry suspension system, the knuckle joint sits at the end of the suspension strut and locates into the corresponding suspension arm assembly. The front suspension uses the knuckle end between the front strut and upper arm, while the rear assembly connects the rear strut to the radius arm.

The workshop procedure for the rear suspension specifically describes the strut and knuckle joint as an assembly and requires the knuckle joint to be correctly located and lubricated during refitting.

When Should It Be Replaced?

Inspect the knuckle joint whenever the Adjusta Ride unit is removed or the suspension is dismantled. Replacement should be considered if the joint is worn, damaged or no longer provides correct location in the suspension assembly.

Because the knuckle joint works directly with the strut and suspension arm, also inspect the corresponding seat or ball socket for wear before fitting the new joint.
